The Team

The Sajja Arts is a not-for-profit organisation that provides creative learning experiences to young people from across the Midlands. As a growing organisation the company employs a number of creative specialists and a small team of experienced managers. For details please see below:

John Percival

Company Director 

John formed the Sajja Arts in 2009 and is responsible for the overall management and development of the company. As Artistic Director, John has overseen projects such as Class Act Music, Reality Dance, Lichfield Fuse Outreach, company productions and manages all practitioners within the collective.

James Sandbrooke

Non Executive Director 

James plays a key part within the Sajja Arts. Over the past year, James has been working as part of the board of directors to expand the companies involvement within the private sector. His passion for creativity within the concept of marketing has enabled the Sajja Arts to reach new clients across the Midlands


Natalie Pugh

Finance Manager 

Natalie is responsible for general administration and manages the Sajja Arts finances. She has been working as part of the team for the last year.

Kellie Humphrey

Head of Voice & Ensembles

Kellie is responsible for all things secondary. She looks after all of the peripatetic staff who deliver weekly workshops across the Midlands. Kellie is also involved in the organising and production of company musicals and concerts. She is currently developing a new project called Objets Trouvés: A Musical Revue.


Charlotte Mills

Vocal Leader & Choreographer 

Charlotte is our newest member of the team and is currently studying to be a primary school teacher. Charlotte has worked as part of our peripatetic vocal staff for the past year. She is also responsible for choreographing this years Lichfield Fuse Outreach workshops.

Shelly Quarmby

Vocal Leader 

Shelly is part of the Sajja Arts peripatetic team and specialises in vocal tuition and ensemble leadership. She is currently working with students at Shelfield Community school.


John Sambrook

Music Leader & Music Producer 

John works as part of Sajja Arts' recording studio team at Studio 2 Recordings. He has worked with clients such as Boy George, Matthew Jones and has appeared on the BBC's Introducing stage.

Jon Emson

Studio Assistant

Jon is the newest member of our team and now works as part of our recording studio development tea. Jon is delighted to have become part of the team at Studio 2 Recordings, and is looking forward to working on some exciting projects and future developments.


Beth Williams

Drama Practitioner 

Beth has delivered a number of projects on behalf of the Sajja Arts. She has worked predominantly with primary school students focusing on pre-selected themes chosen by course leaders.

Charlie Welch

Choreographer 

Charlie has been involved in with the Sajja Arts for the last 2 years. She has run projects such as Reality Dance and worked alongside John Percival to organise and manage Lichfield Fuse Festival 2011. Charlie is currently studying towards her PGCE


Richard Poynton

Drama Practitioner / Director 

Richard recently directed Sajja Arts' production of Spring Awakening and is involved in the production of the companies next concert, Objets Trouvés: A Musical Revue. Richard currently works as Head of Drama at Ingestre Hall

Claire Wyon

Dance Leader 

Clare works as part of the Sajja Arts' outreach team. She runs workshops for both primary and secondary school students and has recently started to help run workshops for schools visiting Ingestre Hall
